Sony’s ‘The Grudge 3′ Gets R-rating?!

Dec 4th, 2008 | By movie-news | Category: Horror

According to the official website for the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America), they have given Sony Home Entertainment’s The Grudge 3 an R-rating for “for violence, disturbing images and some language.” This is pretty cool news considering the first two films were rated PG-13. In the third film directed by Toby Wilkins (Splinter), a young Japanese woman holds a secret to ending the curse of the Grudge. She travels to a haunted Chicago apartment building where she encounters a family battling to survive the ghosts. Together they confront the ghost of Kayako to save their souls from their impending tragic fate. Click here to watch the trailer for the direct-to-DVD sequel arriving in stores March of ‘09.
