An Explosion of Rage in ‘Piecemeal’
Zone Film is delivering a slice of horror with Jeff Welch’s Piecemeal, a pretty interesting film that tells the tale of a teen who struggles to control his rage while living the life of a brutally abused young man in recurring nightmares. Daniel Roby is set to direct the film next fall after helming Remstar Prods.’ 1970s-era saga FUNKTOWN in March. Seville Pictures will distribute the film in the U.K. and Canada, which means a Lionsgate release in the States is highly probably. Roby scored the Toronto International Film Festival’s best Canadian debut feature award for his vampire thriller WHITE SKIN, which is a fav here on B-D. TCB Film’s Simon Trottier will produce the film - his recent Toronto thriller MARTYRS helped land director Pascal Laugier a gig helming Dimension’s next HELLRAISER film.
